For most of our members, healthcare is one of the greatest expenses. You may be a manufacturer, a service industry, a government, a philanthropy, a professional organization or anything else--but you also run a healthcare business if you buy healthcare for your employees and dependents.

So since you are in the healthcare business, are you buying high quality, high value healthcare? Are your employees wisely using what you've bought for them? Is the care you purchase effectively engaging your employees?

Tom Parry PhD, President Emeritus, Integrated Benefits Institute (San Francisco) will talk about how the health of your employees relates to your business effectiveness and how you can measure and improve.

Jan Berger MD, MJ, CEO, Health Intelligence Partners (Chicago), will share her deep knowledge of the relationship between employee engagement and health outcomes.

Brice Habeck, Benefits Manager, QuikTrip Corporation (Tulsa) and WellOK Director, arranges healthcare for employees across a broad swath of the United States and has met the challenge of diverse markets with tailored innovative solutions.

James Herman, MD, MSPH, Dean, OU-TU School of Community Medicine, will lead a discussion of what community medicine is, and how the school and the employer community can collectively address healthcare needs together.

Chris Robbins, Pittsburgh Business Group on Health, will speak about why employers need to look past the data on their PBM reports to get a true understanding of their drug spend and how to control it.

The program will start at 8:30 am and conclude at 3 pm. We will provide lunch. Guests are welcome and we encourage every WellOK member to bring another person to help us grow and achieve our mission of making "...each of us the wisest purchaser of healthcare.

As we have said, healthcare transformation will not come from Washington. It will happen one community at a time, one company at a time. You have the power.

SHRM credits will be available.
